Overview

This workshop features new content on the EUDRACAP® functional ready-to-fill coated capsule platform, a cost-effective and quick solution for novel actives for accelerated speed to market. Newly launched EUDRATEC® SoluFlow technology will be presented for developing free flowing amorphous powder for improved drug solubility and bioavailability. EUDRAGIT® FL 30 D-55, a new & advanced highly flexible polymer, for delayed drug release will be discussed with formulation examples.

This workshop is an excellent opportunity for technical staff in the pharmaceutical industry to learn about the use and application of EUDRAGIT® polymers and EUDRATEC® technologies in delayed release, sustained release, controlled release, taste masking, and moisture protection. Effective cleaning solutions for EUDRAGIT® polymers by use of Chematic® cleaners will be discussed.

Ed Godek, Manager of Process Technology, is Glatt Air Techniques’ Equipment and Engineering Division’s prime technical resource for process technology. Ed has been with Glatt for 19 years and is responsible for conducting process training sessions and providing process troubleshooting for Glatt customers. He is also involved with the development and assessment of new process equipment for Glatt.

Mr. Godek has a total of 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. He has held scientific and management positions in R&D and Manufacturing with Wyeth, Purdue Pharma, Pfizer and Barr Labs. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, and a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Manhattan College.

Jessica Kask manages the Chematic® Critical Cleaning Lab at Dober. She is also the lead for providing technical support to Chematic® customers through detergent application and product technical data, cleaning process development and on-site implementation and trial support.

Jessica has spent the last 9 years at Dober developing her expertise in providing customer-centric detergent and cleaning process recommendations for challenging residues in regulated industries, working with pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, biopharma and cosmetic/personal care customers.

Before her time at Dober, Jessica worked as a chemist in the personal care industry in both Quality Control and R&D roles.
