Overview

This one-day event will be an excellent opportunity for lab managers and senior scientists from formulation development, process optimization, scale-up and production teams to learn about the versatile products and services of Evonik Health Care for the pharmaceutical industry.

“Novel areas and developments in Pharma industry in India” will be discussed during the event with an emphasis on industrial/formulation case studies, novel technologies and troubleshooting. Attendees will be able to directly apply their learnings from this seminar to their daily work.

Dr. Nitesh Shah

Dr. Nitesh Shah joined Evonik in 2012 as Manager-Technical Services for North India & Gujarat. In subsequent years he handled position of increasing responsibilities in Technical Services. He was later entrusted with responsibility of Business Development & Key Account Sales.

Currently he serves as Business Director of Asia South, where he is responsible for overall business of Asia South for all functions of Sales, Technical, Marketing, Business Development, Customer Service & Logistics.

Nitesh started his career as a Lecturer in Pharmacy college in Ahmedabad in 2007 and later worked in Formulation development of generics and NDA’s with companies like Zydus Cadila; and Johnson & Johnson.

Nitesh received his Masters and Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Nirma University, Ahmedabad, India. He has 13 publications in international peer reviewed journals.

Amit Sharma

Mr. Amit Sharma is serving as Senior Business Manager for customers of Gujarat & North India region and country head for Bangladesh and Nepal.

Amit holds degree of M.Sc. & MBA and has total 16 years of experience in pharma industry.

Sonali Sheth

Ms. Sonali Sheth is Associate Director of Azelis India Pharma Division.

She started her career with S.Zhaveri Pharmakem in 1993, having 29 years of expertise in Pharma. The Distribution business of S.Zhaveri was acquired by Azelis India in March/2020, and she continued to Head Pharma operations.

Sonali is responsible for the overall business with all the principals and growing the Pharma Division of Azelis.

She has received her degree in Commerce from Mumbai University, followed by Technical trainings at various foreign principals. This has helped her for Techno-Marketing at Pharmaceutical companies.

Dr. Vineetkumar Patel
Head of Formulation & Application Services Asia South

Dr. Vineetkumar Patel is heading the Formulation & Application Services team for the Asia South region. He joined Evonik in November 2016 as Formulation & Application Services Manager for the Gujarat & North India region. In Evonik, he has worked with customers on EUDRAGIT^® based modified release product development, scale up & process optimization, troubleshooting exercises and technical promotion.

Vineet holds a masters degree in pharmacy from Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi and a doctoral degree in pharmaceutical sciences from Nirma University, Ahmedabad. Before joining Evonik, Vineet has worked in Indian pharmaceutical companies like Torrent Pharmaceuticals, Emcure Pharmaceuticals & Glenmark Pharmaceuticals and has developed skills in solid oral formulation development and metered dose inhalation devices.

Amit Devluk

Mr. Amit Devluk is serving as Senior Associate Manager - Formulation and Application Services for customers of Gujarat & North India region.

Amit has pursued Bachelor of Pharmacy from Gujarat University, Ahmedabad and Master of Pharmacy from Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda. Amit also holds an MBA degree in operation management from Sikkim Manipal University & has 9 years of industrial experience.

Before joining Evonik, Amit has worked with Indian pharmaceuticals companies like Torrent Pharmaceuticals, Alkem Laboratories & Sun Pharma and has developed skills in Solid oral formulation development and Technology Transfer.

Dr. Hemant Bhalerao
Sr. Technical Manager, Pharma

Dr. Hemant began working for Azelis as a Senior Technical Manager in 2022. He oversees the business growth of major accounts as well as the technical support of all Azelis clients in India.

He also oversees the Mumbai, India, application lab, which is now prepared to offer customers comprehensive technical assistance.

Hemant began his career as a formulation and development researcher and worked with organisations like Lupin and Recipharm on the creation of more than 25 ANDA, 505(b2), NDA, and NCE medicines for regulated markets.

Hemant earned his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Karnataka, India, and a Master's in Biopharmaceutics from the Government College of Pharmacy Karad, Maharashtra.

He has three research articles published in international peerreviewed journals and six patents.

Mr. Sanjay Sharma

Sanjay is a seasoned pharmaceutical industry professional with over 24 years of experience in the development, launch, and maintenance of drug supply. He possesses a results-driven approach and a deep understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing science, which has enabled him to contribute to the success of some of the largest organizations in the industry. Sanjay has held various leadership positions in Indian and multinational pharmaceutical companies such as Cipla, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, Sandoz, Watson, Torrent and Lupin. He has also authored a book on Technology Transfer published by Springer Publications USA.
