From Cell Banking to Cell Therapy: The Role of Recombinant Albumin in Cryopreservation

Cell therapy developers are under increasing pressure to build robust, scalable, and regulatory-ready manufacturing workflows. Yet critical steps such as cryopreservation can still be affected by raw material variability, supply constraints, and concerns around animal- or human-derived components.

In this webinar, Evonik and InVitria will show how recombinant human serum albumin (rHSA) can help support more consistent, animal component-free cryopreservation workflows for iPSCs, T cells, and MSCs. Attendees will hear how high-purity rHSA solutions can contribute to post-thaw recovery, proliferation, and preservation of key cell-quality attributes, while supporting the transition toward more defined and scalable manufacturing processes.

The session will combine technical insights with practical application data, helping participants understand where rHSA can fit into cryopreservation strategies, how it compares with plasma-derived albumin, and what to consider when evaluating recombinant albumin for GMP manufacturing workflows.
