Dr. Thiago Borges is the Manager for Customer Projects at Evonik’s biomaterials center in Birmingham, Alabama. He has 13 years of experience in the medical device industry. He is responsible for managing customer projects, providing technical application support, and managing internal innovation projects for medical device solutions. Thiago joined Evonik in 2015, and was previously a project manager for the RESOMER® Filament and other products where he co-ordinated the development of technical grade and GMP grades. Prior to Evonik, he worked for eight years in the medical device industry holding different positions in R&D and operations, in particular working with stents and embolization devices. Thiago holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from University of Sao Paulo, and a PhD in Polymer Science & Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.

Dr. Cécile Boudot is head of the EMEA Application Technology team at Evonik Health Care in Darmstadt, Germany.

In this role she is responsible for technical consultancy for pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and medical devices customers in the EMEA region with a focus on EUDRAGIT®, EUDRAGUARD® and RESOMER® products.

Cécile holds a diploma in mechanical engineering from Arts et Métiers ParisTech in France and Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany.She then completed a Ph.D. in medical and technical engineering at the Technical University of Munich in Germany.

Cécile joined Evonik in 2017 as lead of the Medical Devices Laboratory in Darmstadt, where she was responsible for technical customer support, customer projects and several product launches for the medical devices market. She has since taken over the additional responsibility for pharmaceutical and nutraceutical applications.

Cécile is a regular speaker at international conferences and is author of several publications.
